Staff Accountant

<p>The Staff Accountant is responsible for the financial management and reporting for a portfolio of clients. </p><h3>Primary Responsibilities </h3><ul><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with important deadlines </li></ul><ul><li>Perform bank and other account reconciliations </li></ul><ul><li>Review and approve peer work product </li></ul><ul><li>Review, prepare, enter, track and report on budgets </li></ul><ul><li>Set-up and terminate new communities and accounts </li></ul><ul><li>Accrue expenses monthly </li></ul><ul><li>Respond to a high volume of phone calls/e-mails from internal and external customers </li></ul><h3>Required Skills, Knowledge And Training </h3><ul><li>Understanding of HOA management and financials including governing rules and regulations </li></ul><ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills </li></ul><ul><li>Able to meet time sensitive deadlines </li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles </li></ul><ul><li>Strong organizational skills </li></ul><ul><li>Computer skills including Word and Excel </li></ul><ul><li>Must be very responsive and have strong customer service skills </li></ul><ul><li>Must be able to manage high volume of work and multi-task </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work independently, but also able to work in a team environment </li></ul><ul><li>Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor and have the ability to manage strong personalities </li></ul><ul><li>Certified Public Accountant is required </li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><p>This is a full time role</p><h3>Up to $10/hr depending on experience</h3><h3>100% Remote</h3><p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
