Your work will directly impact the experience of thousands of users and help travel companies scale efficiently.</p><p>This is a fully remote role aligned to UK working hours (9am5:30pm).</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li><p>Develop, maintain, and enhance the Node.js API and supporting back-end systems</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers to design and deliver scalable features</p></li><li><p>Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code</p></li><li><p>Optimise application performance and debug complex issues</p></li><li><p>Participate in architecture discussions and continuously improve system design</p></li><li><p>Work effectively with a globally distributed team across time zones</p></li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li><p>5+ years of back-end development experience</p></li><li><p>Strong experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs</p></li><li><p>Proficient in performance optimisation and server-side logic</p></li><li><p>Comfortable with tools and tech including Git, Linux, MySQL, MongoDB Atlas, JIRA, PM2, Debian</p></li><li><p>Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or similar platforms</p></li><li><p>Bonus: Experience with schema-based validation (OpenAPI)</p></li><li><p>Bonus: Exposure to mobile applications or high-scale systems</p></li><li><p>Basic knowledge of React is advantageous for team collaboration</p></li><li><p>Strong communicator with a passion for clean code and long-term maintainability</p></li></ul><p>Ready to be part of a travel tech company that's scaling fast and thinking big?
