<h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3><p>We are seeking a <strong>Paralegal</strong> with a strong eye for detail and excellent organizational skills to support our corporate filings team. The ideal candidate has <strong>experience in corporate law</strong> (preferred) and can handle a <strong>high volume of Secretary of State filings</strong> accurately and efficiently.</p><p>In the beginning, this role involves <strong>clerical work at scale</strong>, as you will be responsible for processing thousands of filings each month using our <strong>proprietary system</strong>. You'll play a critical role in maintaining compliance and ensuring filing deadlines are met, especially during busy periods at the end and beginning of each month.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li> Prepare and submit <strong>corporate filings</strong> to the Secretary of State, including entity formations, amendments, annual reports, and other related documents. </li><li> Accurately enter and process information through a <strong>proprietary filing system</strong>. </li><li> Review and verify data for completeness and compliance with filing requirements. </li><li> Manage high-volume filings during peak weeks (end and start of each month). </li><li> Maintain detailed and organized records of all filings and documentation. </li><li> Assist with clerical and administrative tasks to support legal operations. </li><li> Communicate with internal teams to ensure filings are processed on time and accurately. </li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li> Minimum of <strong>3 years of paralegal experience</strong> preferred; corporate law experience a strong plus. </li><li> Familiarity with <strong>Secretary of State filings</strong> and business entity documentation. </li><li> Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high-volume data entry. </li><li> Proficiency with technology and willingness to learn proprietary software. </li><li> Excellent organizational and time management skills. </li><li> Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. </li><li> Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. </li></ul><h3><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></h3><ul><li> Experience working in a <strong>corporate or law firm</strong> environment. </li><li> Familiarity with state filing procedures and compliance timelines. </li><li> Strong ability to handle repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently. </li><li> Adaptability during peak and slower work cycles.</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><h3>This is a full time job</h3><h3>Shift starts at 2pm PST</h3><h3>100% Remote Work</h3><h3>Up to $8/hr depending on experience</h3><p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
