Senior Java Developer

From January 2026, the role requires office attendance three days per week.</p><ul><li><p><span>Work type: Hybrid</span></p></li><li><p><span>Location: Bucharest</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contract type: CIM</span></p></li></ul><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><p>Develop new software solutions and improve the performance of existing applications</p></li><li><p>Analyze business and IT requirements to understand user needs and propose effective technical solutions</p></li><li><p>Proactively identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements</p></li><li><p>Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives</p></li><li><p>Design and implement system changes within short feedback cycles</p></li><li><p>Ensure software quality through automated testing, continuous integration, and engineering best practices</p></li><li><p>Continuously upgrade and improve existing systems and technical environments</p></li><li><p>Participate actively in source code reviews and design reviews, providing valuable feedback</p></li><li><p>Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and application issues</p></li><li><p>Provide technical guidance and testing support to other engineers</p></li><li><p>Transform business requirements into technical designs, concepts, and proof-of-concepts</p></li><li><p>Contribute to defining the future technical direction, architecture, and development strategy of the product</p></li><li><p>Take ownership of the complete development lifecycle with a strong focus on continuous improvement</p></li><li><p>Promote and follow software engineering best practices</p></li><li><p>Work within Scrum teams and actively participate in Agile ceremonies</p></li><li><p>Perform L3 support activities, including incident investigation, fixes, and guidance for L2 support teams</p></li><li><p>Create and maintain clear technical specifications and documentation</p></li></ul><h2>Required Skills &amp; Experience</h2><ul><li><p>5+ years of professional software development experience</p></li><li><p>Strong experience with Java 8 or higher</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of Spring Boot</p></li><li><p>Experience with Camunda governance from development through production</p></li><li><p>Solid understanding of JMS and HTTP protocols</p></li><li><p>Experience with SOA architecture and Web Services (REST/SOAP)</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and database-driven applications</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of security protocols and concepts such as SSL, TLS, and certificate handling</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools including Jira, Git, Maven, TeamCity, Artifactory, and CI/CD pipelines</p></li></ul><h3>Nice to Have</h3><ul><li><p>Additional hands-on experience with Camunda</p></li></ul>
