The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions with a strong focus on revenue recognition, month-end close, and financial reporting. This role will serve as a hands-on contributor responsible for preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable operating both strategically and tactically, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to support the evolving needs of the accounting team. This role may manage one direct report and will partner cross-functionally across the organization to support accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do: Establish, develop and improve internal controls and procedures for accounting transactions and budget preparation

Manage and oversee the month-end and year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

Prepare, review, and post journal entries within the ERP system

Lead revenue accounting processes in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review, revenue recognition analysis, and related reconciliations

Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules

Support internal and external audit requests and assist with preparation of audit schedules and documentation

Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and strengthening internal controls

Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other business teams to support accounting-related initiatives and projects

Assist with ad hoc reporting, technical accounting research, and special projects as needed

Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to one direct report, as applicable

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures

Support ERP system enhancements, implementations, and process optimization initiatives

You Should Have: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required

Previous experience managing or mentoring accounting staff preferred

Strong understanding and practical application of ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance required

Experience working within an ERP system required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred

Public accounting experience is a plus

Skills and Abilities

Required:

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting

Experience managing full-cycle month-end close processes

Ability to prepare and post complex journal entries and reconciliations

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Hands-on, team-oriented mindset with willingness to support operational accounting activities as needed

High attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred:

NetSuite experience

Experience in high-growth or fast-paced environments

Experience supporting audits and technical accounting matters
