As our (Junior) Controller (m/f/d), you work directly with the CFO of Heartbeat AI GmbH and at the heart of our financial operations. You are joining a fast-growing energy tech company at an exciting stage where the financial foundations you help build today will directly shape how the business scales tomorrow. In your role you will:<br><ul><li><strong>Own the financial heartbeat of the business:</strong> You take responsibility for our monthly closing process (Monatsabschluss) and internal financial reporting (P&amp;L, Cost Center Reports, Forecasts) - ensuring accurate, timely, and structured financial reporting across the company</li><li><strong>Turn numbers into decisions:</strong> You build and maintain financial reports that give our leadership team a clear picture of costs, revenues, and business performance and you are not shy about flagging what the numbers are telling us</li><li><strong>Grow into a strategic finance partner:</strong> Beyond the numbers, you will increasingly contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning working closely with the CFO to strengthen our financial infrastructure as the company scales</li><li><strong>Make Excel your instrument:</strong> You work with structured, well-designed spreadsheet models every day building, improving, and maintaining them to a high standard</li><li><strong>Apply AI to make your life easer:</strong> You are keen to learn directly from an AI driven tech environment and dive into a variety of AI tools (i.e. Claude) to boost your and your teams efficiency in reportings and forecasting purposes</li></ul>

<ul><li>You have hands-on experience in controlling in the context of energy markets - whether cost, revenue, or sales controlling, what matters is that you know how to work with financial data and turn it into structured, reliable reporting</li><li>You have completed a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field - a Master's degree is not required</li><li>You are highly proficient in Excel and enjoy working in it daily. Clean model structure, well-organized sheets, and solid formula work are second nature to you</li><li>You have excellent language skills in both German and English (C1/C2)</li><li>You are detail-oriented and structured, with a strong sense of ownership over the numbers you are responsible for</li><li>Above all, you are eager to learn: you see joining a fast-growing tech company as an opportunity to grow fast, take on real responsibility, and build something meaningful from the ground up</li></ul>
