POSITION OVERVIEW

The General Partner (GP), Capital Formation, is responsible for leading the firm's strategy to secure, grow, and manage equity capital from institutional and strategic investors. This role serves as a senior-facing leader externally and a core member of the firm's investment leadership team, directly influencing fundraising strategy, investor relationships, and long-term capital positioning.

The GP will cultivate relationships with limited partners (LPs), sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, family offices, and strategic investors, while shaping the firm's equity story and ensuring alignment with investment strategy and performance.

The employee may be required to perform other job-related duties as requested by management. All duties will be assigned in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Capital Formation & Fundraising Strategy

Lead end-to-end equity fundraising efforts across flagship funds, co-investments, and strategic vehicles

Develop and execute capital formation strategy aligned with firm growth and investment objectives

Structure and negotiate equity commitments, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships

Identify new investor segments, geographies, and capital sources

Investor Relationship Management

Serve as primary relationship lead for key LPs and prospective investors

Build and maintain long-term partnerships with institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices

Lead investor meetings, roadshows, and due diligence processes

Deliver compelling presentations that articulate the firm's value proposition, performance, and pipeline

Market Intelligence & Positioning

Monitor trends in institutional capital flows, fundraising environments, and investor preferences

Position the firm competitively relative to peer funds and emerging investment platforms

Provide strategic input to leadership on fund structures, fee models, and capital strategies

Collaboration with Investment Team

Partner closely with investment and asset management teams to align capital raising with deal pipeline

Support structuring of co-investment opportunities and bespoke equity solutions

Ensure investor expectations are aligned with portfolio strategy and performance outcomes

Governance & Leadership

Contribute to firm-wide leadership decisions as a member of the General Partner group

Participate in investment committees and strategic planning forums

Mentor junior capital markets and investor relations professionals

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

15+ years of experience in private equity, infrastructure, venture capital, or investment banking with a strong focus on fundraising

Proven track record of raising significant equity capital (institutional LPs preferred)

Established network of investor relationships across pensions, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices

Skills & Competencies

Strong commercial acumen and negotiation expertise

Exceptional executive presence and communication skills

Deep understanding of fund structures, portfolio construction, and capital markets

Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels

Education

Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred

COMPENSATION: $275,000 - $305,000 salary
