Product Development Manager

<p>Our client,<strong> a dynamic</strong> Amazon FBA business, offering <strong>eco-friendly Home &amp; Kitchen products</strong>, is seeking a <strong>Product Development Manager </strong>to lead their efforts in developing new products and improving existing ones.</p><p>This role involves close collaboration with Brand Managers and Sourcing Agents to ensure the products meet the evolving needs of the customers and maintain competitive advantage.</p><h3>About the company:</h3><p><strong>It is a fast-growing brand developing several new green and sustainable products for eco-conscious consumers</strong>. Currently, the company sells mostly on Amazon, but it also operates on Shopify and Walmart. It has over <strong>200,000 customers in 7 countries </strong>(USA, Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany, Japan, China). The company just partnered up with a sales team in the US who will work on getting its products in physical retail stores.</p><p>This work is changing the world here because his e-commerce brand is set to positively impact the lives of thousands of eco-conscious people who choose to use the companys eco-friendly products, saving tons of plastic waste and CO2 every year. The company is also committed to environmental and social causes, having planted <strong>10,000 trees and financing plastic waste collection </strong>from the oceans through our partners at Clean Hub.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Lead cross-functional teams to develop new products and enhance existing product lines.</li><li>Manage the entire product development lifecycle from concept through design, prototyping, testing, and market introduction.</li><li>Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for new products and product improvements.</li><li>Work closely with sourcing agents to identify and evaluate suppliers, ensuring product quality and cost-effectiveness.</li><li>Coordinate with Brand Managers to align product development with brand strategy and market positioning.</li><li>Prepare detailed product development plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.</li><li>Monitor and report on product development progress, including challenges and milestones.</li><li>Monitor product performance, identify risks, issues, and problems, escalate as appropriate, proposing mitigation plans to overcome obstacles.</li><li>Drive a focus on design and cost to ensure the delivery of excellent products to our consumers at valued price points.</li><li>Be responsible for product documentation including specifications, manuals, packaging, case studies, product comparisons, competitor analysis, and user stories.
