WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for high-performing generalists with a clear spike in strategic thinking. If you have demonstrated success with 1-3 years of experience in your MBB or investing role but still find yourself with an itch to do more, this is for you.

In this role, you will work within the CEO Office to act as a force multiplier across strategic priorities for the business, with the ability to context-switch across strategy, go-to-market, operations, and product topics. You will report directly to the Head of Strategy & Growth, driving initiatives on GTM strategy, external comms & positioning, special projects, and investor relations. Strategy is not a silo at Vega – we operate in a flat structure and sit closely with the Product & Growth and Engineering teams on a day-to-day basis.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU IDENTIFY WITH THE FOLLOWING:

1. Ambition – you have likely performed well in intense early-career environments already, but being 'good' is not good enough for you. You want to test the limits of your own potential.

2. Obsession – you hate being bored, and you need something to be passionate about to be happy. You live for an interesting problem, and question beyond the obvious.

3. High bar – you draw to exceptional people and take personal responsibility in driving exceptional outcomes.

4. Agency – you are low ego and like to get stuff done, not waiting to be told what to do.

The role is not for everyone. If the below doesn't sound appealing, it may not be for you:

1. We do not operate as a consensus-seeking organisation – you will be expected to take views and initiative. As a rule at Vega, there are only questions or suggestions – we look for solutions, not opinions.

2. We believe bureaucracy is the killer of progress – we are focused on creating the minimum viable process to operate with quality at speed. This can feel unstructured for some.

3. We prioritise talent over tenure – there is no promise of progression without performance.

4. We do not wait for absolute clarity to act – there is no precedent for our level of innovation in this industry, and limited data. We often make decisions in ambiguity and with imperfect information – you need to be able to commit to a hypothesis, and be equally willing to admit if it was wrong.

5. We are playing to win – this will not be a 9-5.
