Senior Accountant
<p><span>The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), navigating fiscal and tax specificities, facilitating seamless communication and reporting. The Senior Accountant will be the main contact for the local tax authorities, key contact for external tax compliance provider and will have the key role in the auditing process</span></p><p><span><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Compliance and Regulation<strong>:</strong> Ensure adherence to local GAAP, tax regulations, and fiscal requirements, staying abreast of any changes or updates in the regulatory landscape. Ensure the proper archiving process as per local requirement</span></p></li><li><p><span>Tax and statutory reporting<strong>: </strong>Responsibility for VAT,CIT and statutory reporting. Act as key contact to the external service provider, tax authorities and auditors</span></p></li><li><p><span>Statistical reports:<strong> </strong>Prepare and review reports<strong> </strong>as required by local authorities</span></p></li><li><p><span>Auditing: Participate in annual statutory and group audits and coordinate tax audits</span></p></li><li><p><span>Reporting and Communication: Senior Accountant is reporting to FC team leader and is a part of Financial Control team </span></p></li><li><p><span>Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support in various initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and compliance requirements</span></p></li><li><p><span>Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the accounting function, implementing best practices to streamline workflows and improve productivity</span></p></li><li><p><span>Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to local team members and on accounting principles, procedures, and systems, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development</span></p></li></ul><p><span><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor's or Master´s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred</span></p></li><li><p><span>Extensive experience (5+ years) in accounting and finance roles, with a strong understanding of local GAAP, tax regulations, and fiscal requirements in Romania</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven experience in statutory reporting within a manufacturing or industrial setting</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle Financials), with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed recommendations</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders</span></p></li><li><p><span>Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment</span></p></li><li><p><span>Fluency in English language</span></p></li></ul>
