Mechanical Engineering Intern

The Opportunity Orbitworks is a sovereign aerospace and advanced technology company in the UAE. We build and test real satellite systems — and our interns work on projects that matter from day one. This is not a shadowing programme. You will own a defined project, work alongside experienced engineers and business professionals, and present outcomes to leadership. What You'll Do Trade-off study and selection of a local honeycomb panel supplier. The project covers compiling panel drawings, identifying manufacturing operations, evaluating potential suppliers against ECSS standards, validating vendor processes through coupon/sample fabrication, performing NDT & DTs on panels, and generating a qualification report. What You'll Deliver   Technical report outlining supplier validation results Supplier recommendation based on technical, commercial, and programmatic trade-off NDT & DT test results and process verification documentation Completed vendor qualification package What You'll Learn Aerospace composite and structural materials knowledge Engineering drawing interpretation and manufacturing process engineering Supplier evaluation, ECSS standards familiarity, and quality assurance NDT/DT testing and validation skills Technical documentation and V&V reporting   Who We're Looking For Students pursuing Mechanical Engineering with an interest in aerospace materials and manufacturing Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Materials Engineering Drawing Reading Quality Assurance Technical Reporting
