<h3>Role Description </h3><p>We are seeking a full-time Accountant. The Accountant will take ownership of all core accounting functions across a growing portfolio, including accounts receivable and payable, financial reporting, budgeting, bank reconciliations, and CAM reconciliations. Experience in real estate accounting is not required. </p><p>You'll work closely with property management and leadership teams, contribute to system improvements, and help mentor junior staff. This position requires advanced proficiency in Yardi and a solid understanding of commercial lease structures, financial operations, and reporting. </p><h3>Responsibilities </h3><ul><li>Manage accounts receivable, including billing, collections, payments, and reconciliations for a portfolio of properties </li> <li>Oversee accounts payable, invoice processing, and check batches </li> <li>Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports and variance analysis </li> </ul><h3>· Complete bank reconciliations </h3><h3>· Complete annual CAM reconciliations </h3><ul><li>Process owner distributions and ensure timely, accurate reporting to ownership groups. </li> <li>Participate in budgeting and forecasting using Yardi Forecast Manager </li> <li>Activate leases and ensure recovery setups align with lease terms </li> <li>Support onboarding of new properties and financial processes </li> <li>Mentor junior accountants and collaborate across teams </li> </ul><h3>Qualifications </h3><ul><li>2+ years of accounting experience, commercial real estate experience is a plus but not required. </li> <li>Experience in Yardi Voyager, Forecast Manager, Elevate and Procure to Pay is a plus. </li> <li>Strong understanding of financial statements. </li> <li>High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills. </li> <li>Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities. </li> <li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills. </li> </ul><h3>· CPA is required </h3><h3>Requirements</h3><h3>This is a full time role</h3><h3>Up to $10/hr</h3><h3>100% Remote</h3><p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
