<h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3><p>We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented <strong>Drafter</strong> to support residential and commercial design projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical drafting skills, a solid understanding of construction documents, and hands-on experience using <strong>Chief Architect</strong> (preferred).</p><p>The Drafter will work closely with architects, designers, and project teams to produce accurate, code-compliant drawings and revisions throughout the design and permitting process.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li> Create and revise <strong>construction drawings</strong> for residential and commercial projects </li><li> Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and details </li><li> Translate design concepts, markups, and redlines into accurate drawings </li><li> Ensure drawings comply with applicable building codes and standards </li><li> Coordinate updates and revisions throughout project lifecycles </li><li> Maintain organized drawing sets and version control </li><li> Collaborate with internal teams to meet project timelines </li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li> Proven experience as a <strong>Drafter</strong> in residential and/or commercial projects </li><li><strong>Chief Architect experience preferred</strong> (or similar drafting software) </li><li> Strong understanding of construction documentation and drafting standards </li><li> Excellent attention to detail and accuracy </li><li> Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines </li><li> Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively </li><li> Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment </li></ul><h3><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></h3><ul><li> Experience with permitting and plan submission processes </li><li> Familiarity with other drafting tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) </li><li> Knowledge of residential and commercial building systems</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><h3>This is a full time role</h3><h3>Up to $8/hr</h3><h3>100% Remote</h3><p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
