Industrial Operations/Management Intern

The Opportunity Orbitworks is a sovereign aerospace and advanced technology company in the UAE. We build and test real satellite systems — and our interns work on projects that matter from day one. This is not a shadowing programme. You will own a defined project, work alongside experienced engineers and business professionals, and present outcomes to leadership. What You'll Do Conduct a comprehensive Value Stream Map (VSM) of the production floor operations, capturing process flows, cycle times, waste identification, and improvement opportunities across the AIT and manufacturing sequence. What You'll Deliver Detailed Value Stream Map of the full production floor Waste identification and cycle-time analysis report Improvement opportunity recommendations Final presentation of findings to operations leadership What You'll Learn Lean manufacturing principles and VSM methodology Production/AIT flow and operation sequencing Process improvement and waste reduction frameworks Cross-functional stakeholder communication Who We're Looking For Students pursuing Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Lean Manufacturing disciplines Industrial / Mechanical Engineering Lean Manufacturing Process Analysis Visio or Arena (simulation) Data Collection & Reporting
