Role Overview
The QA Shift Leader ensures consistent execution of quality checks and food safety procedures during their assigned shift. The role supervises QA Inspectors, decides on acceptance or rejection of inbound goods, and oversees operational controls in the warehouse. Acting as the first line of decision-making in daily operations, this role guarantees that products meet required standards before reaching customers, while escalating complex or systemic issues to the FC QA Leader.
What we expect from you / the position to perform
- Supervises and supports QA Inspectors during the shift.
- Executes inbound checks and decides on acceptance / rejection of goods based on temperature and quality and product´s checks in the FC
- Performs daily warehouse inspections to verify hygiene and quality standards.
- Conducts water sampling and surface swabbing for microbiological testing.
- Ensures traceability of products and proper documentation of all checks.
- Performs regular equipment checks:
1. Scales verification
2. Vehicle temperature tests
3. Shatterproof materials checks
4. Calibration of measurement devices
- Communicates operational issues and escalates major risks to the FC QA Leader.
- Supports adoption of new QA procedures and standards within the warehouse.
What we look for / what we require
Required
- Secondary education, ideally in food technology, agriculture, or related fields.
- 2+ years of experience in food quality, production, or related field.
- Solid knowledge of HACCP and food safety processes.
- Experience in supervising or coordinating smaller teams.
- Ability to act quickly and make decisions in high-pressure or operational contexts.
- Fluency in the local language.
- Basic English knowledge (written and spoken).
