Senior Software Engineer (React/Node)

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer (Frontend-Leaning) to join a high-performing nearshore team building scalable, cloud-native applications. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is passionate about crafting intuitive, high-quality user experiences while still being comfortable contributing to backend services when needed.

You'll play a key role in designing and building modern, responsive web applications, working closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless end-to-end solutions in AWS.

Primary Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React (or similar frameworks)

Build responsive, performant, and user-friendly frontend interfaces

Collaborate closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into elegant UI/UX solutions

Contribute to backend services using Node.js as needed

Integrate frontend applications with APIs and backend services

Work with cloud-native, serverless applications on AWS

Develop and maintain scalable systems using PostgreSQL and Snowflake

Support infrastructure and deployments using Terraform and GitHub Actions

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the stack

Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and backend engineers

Some Must-Haves:

5+ years of professional software development experience

Strong experience building frontend applications using React (or similar modern frameworks)

Solid JavaScript/TypeScript skills and understanding of modern frontend architecture

Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and backend services

Working knowledge of Node.js for backend development

Experience with AWS, including serverless services (Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB)

Familiarity with PostgreSQL and/or Snowflake

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)

Understanding of cloud-based and distributed systems

Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team

Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, depending on workload, with the occasional late night when a tight deadline calls for it. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
