Sr. Quality Engineer

<h3>This is a remote position.</h3><div><b><b>Senior Quality Engineer</b></b><div>Reporting to Manager, Quality Engineering &amp; AI Validation, partners directly with delivery pods to validate software features, workflows, integrations, and releases. Executes and automates test coverage across traditional applications and AI-enabled solutions, with a focus on business-critical workflow quality and evidence-based release readiness.</div><h3><b>Key Responsibilities</b></h3><h3>Validation Execution</h3><ul><li>Design and execute functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end workflow tests.</li> <li>Build and maintain automated test cases where they create leverage and repeatability.</li> <li>Validate system behavior across application boundaries, services, and business processes.</li> </ul><h3>Release Readiness</h3><ul><li>Partner with Product and Engineering to clarify acceptance criteria, risk, and expected behavior.</li> <li>Provide quality assessments grounded in evidence, defect trends, and scenario coverage.</li> <li>Support pre-release validation and post-release quality review.</li> </ul><h3>AI Workflow Testing</h3><ul><li>Execute test scenarios against AI-enabled features, including edge cases, missing context, ambiguous requests, and workflow handoffs.</li> <li>Validate outputs against expected business behavior, traceability requirements, and quality standards.</li> </ul><h3>Continuous Improvement</h3><ul><li>Identify recurring defects, weak spots in requirements, and opportunities to improve test coverage.</li> <li>Contribute reusable test assets, documentation, and scenario libraries.</li> </ul><br><h3>Requirements</h3><h3><b>Required Qualifications</b><ul><li>5+ years of software testing or quality engineering experience.</li> <li>Experience with manual and automated testing in modern application environments.</li> <li>Strong comfort with APIs, integration testing, and complex workflow validation.</li> <li>Familiarity with logs, defect triage, and data validation.</li> <li>Ability to work closely with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.</li> <li>Experience with finance, workflow, or data-centric products preferred.</li> </ul></h3><h3>·Bachelor's degree preferred.</h3><h3>You Are</h3><h3>·Methodical, curious, and accountable.</h3><ul><li>Good at finding edge cases and translating risk into action.</li> <li>Focused on protecting quality without becoming rigid.</li> <li>Strong at balancing technical detail with business impact.</li> </ul><br><h3>Benefits</h3><div>Salary plus performance-based bonus.<div>Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor, and internal equity.<br></div></div></div><p>Originally posted on <a href="https://himalayas.app">Himalayas</a></p>
