As a key member of our North American sales team, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, driving growth in both the US and Canada while collaborating with global teams to refine best practices and enhance our go-to-market strategies.

The role

As a Sales Account Executive, you will take ownership of a pipeline of deals and be responsible for taking them from first contact through to funding. Our unique partnership model generates a substantial volume of qualified, inbound leads, which our skilled Sales team excels at converting.

In this role, you’ll engage directly with business owners across both the US and Canada, understanding their funding needs, presenting the Liberis solution, and supporting them throughout the process to secure funding. Internally, you’ll collaborate closely with teams across Partnerships, Operations, and Risk to ensure an outstanding customer experience from start to finish.

Manage a pipeline of customers across the US and Canada, taking full ownership from initial contact to onboarding as live customers

Leverage a combination of inbound and outbound sales strategies across multiple channels, utilizing Liberis’ sales tools such as Gong and Salesforce

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate seamless onboarding, ensuring successful initial funding before transitioning customers to the Renewals team for ongoing support and future funding opportunities

Deliver a premium, consultative experience for customers, maintaining a “white glove” standard of service

Gather feedback, iterate on strategies, and identify winning approaches for Liberis in North America, documenting best practices that can be adopted across global teams

Advocate for both US and Canadian merchants internally, ensuring their needs are championed, while representing Liberis externally as a trusted partner

Serve as a role model and mentor, providing guidance and support to junior members of the sales team

What we think you’ll need

Fluency in both English and French Canadian (essential for supporting our expansion into Canada)

Experience in selling payment or lending products (preferred but not essential)

A proven track record of success in complex, high-value sales processes, consistently hitting and exceeding targets

A strategic, process-driven approach to selling, with excellent time management and prioritization skills

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong, lasting relationships

A high level of numeracy and comfort working with data

A collaborative mindset, thriving as part of a team to achieve shared goals

A goal-oriented and positive attitude, with a problem-solving approach that actively seeks creative solutions to overcome challenges and drive continuous improvement

Our hybrid approach

Working together in person helps us move faster, collaborate better, and build a great Liberis culture. Our hybrid working policy requires team members to be in the office at least 3 days a week, but ideally 4 days. At Liberis, we embrace flexibility as a core part of our culture, while also valuing the importance of the time our teams spend together in the office.
