Last Energy seeks a Licensing Associate to support regulatory, licensing, and safety analysis efforts. This role is centered on technical writing and document preparation, with additional responsibilities in supporting analysis and serving as a working-level bridge between the Licensing and Engineering teams. The Licensing Associate will work closely with internal technical teams and third-party contractors to produce high-quality regulatory documentation and keep licensing workstreams moving
Key Duties & Responsibilities Assist in the preparation, review, and management of technical documentation submitted to regulators
Translate technical content from subject-matter experts into clear, precise language for regulatory submissions
Conduct spreadsheet analysis, including data collection, modeling, and reporting
Research, track and interpret evolving licensing requirements to ensure compliance
Collaborate with engineering, legal, and project teams to align licensing activities with broader project goals
Maintain organized records and documentation systems for licensing and regulatory filings
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications 2+ years of experience in technical writing, licensing, regulatory affairs, safety analysis, or a related field
Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a technical discipline
Familiarity with licensing and regulatory processes in the energy or infrastructure sectors
Strong analytical skills with exposure to probabilistic safety analysis or quantitative risk assessment preferred
Excellent organizational and written communication skills
Disciplined and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Based in Austin, TX (or willing to relocate)
