Senior Partnership Manager, Chicago (Part-Time Employee)
Location: Chicago metro area (required) Type: Part-Time Employee Hours: 20 hours/week Compensation: $44-52/hour, commensurate with experience
About This Opportunity
SIRUM is expanding to Chicago, a major milestone in our mission to connect every person with the medications they need to stay healthy.
We're hiring a Senior Partnership Manager to lead our community partnership work in Chicago. This is a role for someone with deep expertise in healthcare or social services who is energized by the chance to apply that experience to system-level change: helping organizations connect their patients to affordable medication.
If you have 15+ years of frontline experience and are looking for flexible, mission-aligned work where your expertise can shape how medication reaches patients across Chicago, we'd love to talk. The profile below describes one possible fit, but we welcome other paths to this role.
This isn't a traditional sales role. You're building trusted relationships with organizations serving low-income communities, meeting people where they are, and translating a real solution into partnerships that change lives.
Who This Role Is For
Someone who has spent 15+ years building deep instincts for how community organizations and clinics actually function. Someone who can read a clinic's enrollment flow, see where a partnership can plug in, and translate a solution into something a partner organization can actually use. Someone who is energized by the chance to apply that experience in a new way, shaping how medication access reaches patients across Chicago. If this sounds like you, or if your path looks different but lands you in the same place, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Community Partnership Development
Identify and cultivate high-leverage partnerships with healthcare providers (FQHCs, safety-net clinics, hospitals) and community-based organizations across Chicago metro, with a focus on organizations serving families in lower-income communities
Lead conversations with senior decision-makers (CEOs, Medical Directors, Program Directors) and adapt SIRUM's pitch to each
Steer partnership models that range from patient referral relationships to white-label pharmacy solutions through Good Pill
Partnership Activation & Onboarding
Guide partner organizations through implementation and staff training
Ensure a clean handoff to the Partner Success Team after partnership launch
Capture institutional knowledge into a replicable Chicago playbook
Ecosystem Building
Map Chicago's healthcare and social-service landscape and identify the highest-leverage referral nodes
Represent SIRUM at community events, health fairs, and professional convenings
Who You Are
Required
Chicago-based, with substantial experience across the city's healthcare and social-service ecosystem
15+ years of experience in primary healthcare or community-services settings (FQHC, safety-net clinic, hospital, public health) as a social worker, care coordinator, LCSW, community health worker, or similar role
Have managed workflows for low-income, uninsured, or underinsured populations and understand the operational and clinical trade-offs that come with that
Track record of building cross-functional relationships across the org chart
Highly autonomous: can run a pipeline, prioritize your time, and report up cleanly without daily oversight
Ideal Background
One example of a background that could work well: a senior social worker, care coordinator, or program leader with experience at Chicago FQHCs, community health centers, or safety-net institutions, who is excited about a flexible role where their experience and judgment can shape how medication access reaches patients across the city. Many other paths to this role are welcome.
