About the Role
The National Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic business development initiatives within the Food Service channel, with a strong focus on new categories and product portfolios. This role oversees the end-to-end business process, ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration and effective execution in the market to drive sustainable, results-oriented performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and implement annual business development plans, including category expansion, opportunity identification, and technical/solution-based initiatives.
Monitor, track, and supervise execution of approved plans; proactively recommend corrective actions to overcome barriers.
Ensure strong alignment and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent market execution and implementation.
Drive capability building of the sales team in collaboration with chefs and training teams; ensure effective use of Zoho CRM for acquisition and pipeline management.
2. Market Intelligence
Continuously monitor competitor activities, Food Service customer feedback, and distributor inputs; conduct regular market audits for validation.
Analyze market dynamics and develop tactical strategies to respond to market changes and maximize growth opportunities.
Provide regular, actionable insights and updates to ensure business plans remain relevant and effective.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track and report progress against business development plans on a regular basis.
Identify gaps and define clear action plans to ensure successful execution and achievement of targets.
4. Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (internal and external) within the Food Service ecosystem.
Act as the central "orchestrator" to ensure all teams are aligned and performance-driven toward achieving business objectives.
Who We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Food Technology, Engineering or related field
Proven experience in business development within Food Service / FMCG industry
Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities
Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical abilities
Leadership experience in managing complex, matrix organizations
