As a Senior Business Development Manager for the Sports category, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and closing high-impact partnerships with brands and professional sellers, shaping the assortment strategy and driving category growth.

WHO YOU ARE:

5+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Partnerships, ideally within marketplace, retail, or e-commerce environments, working with brands in the Sports, Fitness, or Outdoor equipment space

Fluent in English; additional European languages (e.g. German, Italian) are a strong plus

Proven track record of closing complex, enterprise-level deals, managing long sales cycles end-to-end

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence C-level and senior decision-makers, supported by solid commercial acumen

High resilience and persistence, maintaining momentum despite setbacks

Structured, analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand complex commercial and operational setups

NICE TO HAVE:

Existing network within the Sports, Bikes, Fitness, or Outdoor industry

Experience working with marketplace and/or retail business models

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic sports brands and sellers, building a high-quality and differentiated pipeline

Analyse market trends, demand signals, and assortment gaps to define and refine the Sports category strategy

Own and lead the full sales cycle: from outreach and business case development to negotiation and closing

Act as a solution-oriented partner for prospective sellers, coordinating with internal teams to address commercial, operational, and technical requirements

Drive smooth onboarding and go-live processes, collaborating cross-functionally

Ensure a structured handover to Account Management, including clear visibility on risks and growth opportunities

Represent refurbed at sports industry events, trade fairs, and conferences, building long-term partnerships and visibility in the ecosystem
